Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, for tanginess)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and finely chop the basil, parsley, and mint. Mince the garlic.
  2. Combine the Base: In a medium-sized bowl, add the Greek yogurt.
  3. Mix in Herbs and Flavorings: Stir in the basil, parsley, mint, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and well-combined.
  4. Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust the salt or lemon juice to your liking.
  5. Chill and Serve: For best results, cover and refrigerate the sauce for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Substitute Greek yogurt with a plant-based alternative like coconut or almond yogurt.
  • Additional Herbs: Experiment with dill or chives for extra layers of flavor.
  • Serving Suggestions: Use it as a dip for raw veggies, a spread for sandwiches, or a dressing for grain bowls.
